Although Minato offered an explanation and fobbed off the Raikage and Tsuchikage, the Raikage clearly had no intention of letting the matter rest.
Before long, the Raikage pressed the issue again:
"Hokage, I think you need to give us an explanation."
"Oh? An explanation? What sort of explanation does the Raikage wish to hear?"
Minato clasped his hands before him on the round table. Though he still wore a smile and appeared wholly unaware of what the Raikage was about to say, he had already formed a guess in his heart.
Of course, he knew about the rumors that had been spreading through the Shinobi World lately.
A mysterious man calling himself Madara Uchiha, possessing the Sharingan, had entered the various Kage's sights. Six Tailed Beasts had been captured, several of them taken by that very man.
Presumably, the explanation the Raikage wanted had something to do with this "mysterious man."
Sure enough, the Raikage soon asked:
"I heard that an Akatsuki member with the Sharingan was involved in capturing the Tailed Beasts. He even called himself Madara Uchiha... I think you, Hokage, should explain exactly what is going on."
The Raikage sneered at Minato, the resentment in his eyes flashing past in an instant.
Given the current state of the Shinobi World, that unknown Akatsuki member was the common enemy of the major hidden villages. But Kumogakure had suffered several losses at Konoha's hands in recent years, and the Raikage did not mind making things difficult for Konoha.
Just as expected!
As understanding dawned on Minato, a suitably troubled expression appeared on his face.
Naturally, Minato knew the mysterious man's identity perfectly well. Wasn't it his beloved student, Obito?
But knowing was one thing; Minato could not possibly reveal Obito's identity.
The trouble on Minato's face did not escape
