Danzo's imprisonment was inevitable.
Granted, Danzo had rendered real service to Konoha, and he was a longtime close friend of the Third Hokage. He was a sensitive figure, with great power and influence.
But the person he had offended was Ye Ning, the Daimyo's Son of the Land of Fire.
And the offense was assassination, something utterly intolerable. More importantly, it hadn't happened just once or twice!
The first time, Danzo's contributions and service had barely been enough to let him off the hook. But the second time, when he'd put out a bounty, the nature of the matter had changed completely.
So even though Danzo had once been part of Konoha High Command, he still had to face punishment.
Ultimately, it was because the Daimyo held Konoha's lifeline in his hands.
The shinobi world operated on the principle that hidden villages depended on the Daimyo to survive. If a Daimyo abandoned a village, its fate would be utterly miserable.
And so, under the watch of Anbu Ninja, Danzo was sent to Konoha Prison, where the Uchiha Clan would keep watch over him. He would never be released.
At this point, the Uchiha Clan had no major grudge against Danzo, and Danzo hadn't yet revealed any ambition to destroy the clan.
But Ye Ning found the situation very amusing.
In the original story, Danzo had been obsessed with wiping out the Uchiha and stealing their Sharingan to turn himself into a monster. Now, he'd become a prisoner under the Uchiha Clan's watch. How cool was that!
This outcome could already be considered a win for everyone.
Ye Ning, Tsunade, and even Hanzo, along with the other major clans in Konoha, couldn't help but praise the news with a heartfelt, "Good riddance," once they heard about it.
For a long time,
