From uploading the first chapter at 8:29 a.m. on December 11, 2017, to uploading the final chapter at 5:00 p.m. on November 2, 2018, it took more than eleven months—a total of 356 days, just nine days short of twelve months, or a full year.
This book totaled 2.4 million words and 1,136 chapters, including 910 chapters in the Battle Through the Heavens arc and 226 chapters in The Great Ruler arc.
Spending an entire year finishing a "masterpiece" over two million words long still felt pretty fulfilling. Especially since this was the first book of my writing career, the feeling was particularly strange and wonderful.
Over the past year, I had written nervously every day just to keep up with updates. Even when I was sick or during the New Year, I couldn't rest or stop updating. It was truly exhausting, and it was time to take a break.
