Ancient era and fall

A millennium before the main story, Xiao Xuan led the Xiao Tribe and stood among the continent’s Five Peak Sages. He was regarded as the strongest figure of his era and one of the cultivators closest to becoming a Dou Di. He was also a friend of Burning Flame Valley’s Old Ancestor Fenyan. 439 745 860

During the conflict over the Tou She Ancient God Jade, Xiao Xuan briefly gathered its original three pieces, discovered the incomplete Emperor Grade Embryonic Pill’s existence, then shattered the jade into eight pieces. He gave one piece to each of the Ancient Eight Clans to force the Central Plains factions back. 743 879

To force a breakthrough into the Emperor Realm, he extracted the Xiao Tribe’s Dou Di bloodline into himself. The attempt failed, leaving the tribe’s bloodline exhausted. Rather than allow his enemies to claim his life, Xiao Xuan detonated the three Heavenly Flames within him; the resulting injuries forced Hun Tiandi and many Soul Clan experts into long recoveries. 744 860

Resurrection and the Xiao Tribe’s revival

Xiao Yan reached Xiao Xuan’s Tomb Mansion with Soul Infant Fruits, Spirit Dragon Heavenly Ganodermas, a White Jade Puppet, a Ninth-Grade Treasure Pill, and Ancient Void Dragon essence blood. Yao Chen then performed the resurrection procedure, allowing Xiao Xuan to fuse with the White Jade Puppet and regain a physical body after a month. 637 640

After returning, Xiao Xuan seized control of the Heavenly Tomb’s resources to strengthen the Xiao Tribe, revived his former Eight Saints, and prepared the tribe’s return to the Central Plains.
