Matsuda Jinpei, who had been standing by the RV door watching the commotion, heard movement behind him. Turning around, he saw Wataru Date sitting on the steps at the RV entrance, watching the noisy crowd over there.
Matsuda Jinpei glanced at Inspector Yumichika standing in the middle of the crowd and understood what he meant. "After being a cop for so long, it must feel pretty fresh to stand off to the side and watch other people handle a case, huh?"
"It's not bad. The work in the First Investigation Division is more or less all the same." Wataru Date waved it off. "When a case happens in a public place and the suspects can't be screened out quickly, it's easy for things to turn into this kind of scene. It's normal for it to get lively."
