The three people ahead suddenly burst forward, racing up the slope at tremendous speed. They quickly widened the gap between them, getting farther and farther away.
Saijo Taiga, who had been pondering what they were trying to do, turned and shot the questioning disciple a glare.

"Catch them as quickly as possible." Saijo Taiga adjusted the mask on his face and said in a muffled voice, "Judging by their behavior, they may have found a clue to the statue."
They had already suffered attacks and pursuit from so many people, yet they had still chosen to head up the mountain without hesitation... He had a bad feeling about this.
The three of them, whose purpose had been to lure out the murderer, were naturally going up the mountain.
After all, the answer to the riddle currently pointed to Gyokuryu Temple. Charging in recklessly without drawing out the people lying in wait inside would be the truly dangerous choice.
"Come to think of it, this doesn't make much sense." Heiji Hattori complained as he ran. "If it was hidden in Gyokuryu Temple, why hadn't he found it?"

This picture riddle was somewhat difficult, sure. Several of the symbols, like the loach and such, were indeed rather abstract and required some thought. But when examined closely, it was not that hard.
The detectives were smart, but they were not Einsteins. A riddle they could solve in two days might also be solved by others given more
