After actually trying out Kaito Kid's glider, Tangze's verdict was—
"It doesn't feel as convenient as my rope." Tugging the rope over his shoulder and slightly adjusting his flight direction, Tangze gave his assessment.
"Even if you say that..." Hirotsugu Morofushi had just put on his headset when he heard that remark, and he couldn't help laughing.
"His is proper technology developed through research. It can't be compared to your magic." Akemi Miyano shook her head, helpless at his humblebragging.
Naturally, Tangze had not hidden the matter of the scarf from them.
Mixed in among Conan-style gadgets, the scarf's abilities amounted at most to an ideal carbon-fiber zip line paired with a highly maneuverable rope. It looked rather unremarkable, which was why Conan and the others had yet to notice anything strange about it. But Tangze, its user, was very well aware of what made the scarf special.
A miraculous object that could be controlled by thought—or brainwaves—and moved like an extension of one's arm... Forget Professor Agasa, who knew Conan-style science well; even Tangze and the others, who knew Cognitive Science well, had yet to figure out its principles.
"Your scarf really is amazing." Hirotsugu Morofushi finished setting up his earpiece and raised his sniper rifle again. "But compared to that, I'm more curious how you got the hang of his glider so quickly. Even modified, that glider shouldn't be much easier to operate than wingsuit flying..."
Not to mention that Kaito Kid's flashy suit and cape had none of the protection or fastening measures used by professional extreme athletes. That seemingly effortless, carefree flight was actually a difficult and dangerous maneuver.
"Ah, that? Maybe I should thank Mr. Hagiwara." Tangze adjusted the equipment on himself until it suited his habits better, then hugged the box in his arms
