Though the leave notice came late, it was here at last. I'd originally planned to take a break after finishing Volume One, to sort out the direction and themes of Volume Two and organize the detailed outline.
But the plot at the time wasn't suitable for a break, so I pushed on in one go until the end of the month, giving August a complete run as well. I checked the author backend—this month, I updated 240,000 characters.
That came out to roughly 8,000 characters a day.
But my update times haven't been very stable. Ever since I started swimming daily to treat my cervical spine, my releases have become even more irregular. That's what I feel most guilty about toward my readers. Even though I'm eighteen every year, my body still inevitably keeps getting weaker. Sigh... Back when I was writing The Second-Generation Demon, I only slept five hours a day—working during the day and writing at night.
I really miss One Leaf Seven Thorns's youthful days, when I always had endless energy.
I'll be taking a day and a half off. Updates will resume on the night of the 2nd.
I want to sort out the main outline and work on the detailed outline—what foreshadowing needs to be wrapped up, which plotlines and setups need to be expanded. All of that takes time to think through.
Thank you, dear readers, for your support. Spirit Realm is about to break Great Feng's record for average subscriptions during serialization—another new record. Mm, it's about to reach an average of 140,000. Within a week, probably.
Thank you!!
