As they watched dense formations of mechanical constructs slide out from the hollows in the stone walls, every member of the Undead Squad felt more or less like cursing their mothers.
In all the previous rounds, the mechanical puppets had only appeared from one side—either left or right. Rarely had they attacked from both sides at once, like twin dragons emerging from their lairs.
As time passed, the mechanical constructs in the stone-wall holes not only grew stronger, but also increased in number.
Their concerns had been correct. The longer they dragged things out, the stronger the constructs inside the walls became. In the end, a whole bunch of Level Six puppets might emerge.

Sun Miaomiao was startled and shouted a warning, "There are highly intelligent entities among the mechanical puppets!"
"It's not that some are highly intelligent—they're all highly intelligent," Guan Ya shouted. Her marksmanship was more accurate, yet one of her bullets had just been dodged.
Everyone's hearts sank.
Not only had their physical strength and attack power increased, but they had also become "intelligent." It would be even harder to deal with the mechanical puppets in a short time.
Before they could recover from one crisis, another arose. Little Round's slightly shrill voice came from above:
"The mech is regenerating!"
The Undead Squad members abruptly turned their heads and saw tiny bronze fragments converging upon the mech's chest, gradually repairing the breach and
