Layer upon layer of purple clouds, like smog, obscured the golden light. Though they were continuously dissolving under the power of purification, the golden sunlight could never reach the bottom of the Thunder Pool.

Wave after wave of inhuman roars pierced through the muffled thunder and reached the Crimson Sun Executioner's ears.

The Crimson Sun Executioner furrowed his brow and, without hesitation, summoned pillar after pillar of clear, radiant golden light. Like thick stone columns, they crashed into the depths of the Thunder Pool.

The roars from the bottom of the Thunder Pool grew more shrill, laced with traces of anguish, but the inhuman quality in them weakened.

The Crimson Sun Executioner relaxed slightly and increased the number of thick, pillar-like beams of golden light. Maintaining this spell consumed an enormous amount of spiritual power, but when facing contamination at least at the demigod level, he could not afford to be stingy with his strength.

After another moment, the Thunder God's deep, majestic voice came from the bottom of the Thunder Pool. "Withdraw the Solar Power. I'm much better now."

The Crimson Sun Executioner frowned. He could hear the suppressed pain and weakness in the Thunder God's tone.

The Thunder God's voice rolled through the air. "This is contamination from a god of the Biological Alchemy Society. It exceeds the demigod level, but it isn't enough to contaminate me while I have the Thunder Pool protecting me. At most, I'll need five hours to purge it. On the other hand, your Solar Power is making me extremely uncomfortable."

After a brief contemplation, the Crimson Sun Executioner silently withdrew the golden pillars of light.

Heaven's Punishment's Chief Prosecutor was an eleventh-level demigod and possessed the demigod-grade item, the Thunder Pool. He truly had no reason to fear contamination.
