Aili Miya was raised within Elbiore House, an eight-century Pureblood Faction mage family in Bergel City. Believed to be the child of an affair, she was treated as an illegitimate daughter after her mother, Martha, was imprisoned and died; Martha was denied burial in the family cemetery. Aili internalized the accusation against her mother and obeyed her family out of guilt and insecurity. 160 161

Her crimson hair and inability to awaken Elbiore House's inherited flame-control ability were used as evidence against her parentage.
