It was another early morning. Huo Yuhao opened his eyes and felt the Soul Power coursing through his body. He couldn't help letting out a long breath of relief.
Today marked an important milestone.
His Soul Power Level had reached twenty. He could obtain his Second Soul Ring now.
In just over two months, he had gone from level eleven to level twenty. Huo Yuhao's cultivation speed was nothing short of terrifying.
His progress was due in part to his "dual cultivation" with Wang Dong, but more importantly, to the Ghost Killing Art.
As it raised his Soul Power, the Ghost Killing Art had also continued to strengthen his body, allowing him to progress even faster.
"Level twenty, huh..."
Huo Yuhao clenched his fist.
Though he hadn't added a Second Soul Ring yet, he could feel that, thanks to the unique nature of the Ghost Killing Art and his strengthened physique, Soul Grandmasters below level thirty could no longer pose any threat to him.
He should start making plans for his Second Soul Ring and the Ice Empress.
But either way, he'd have to wait until the Freshman Assessment was over.
By his reckoning, it was two weeks away at most.
"Hey, if you're awake, get off me already. You're crushing me."
Wang Dong's muffled complaint came from beneath him.
Huo Yuhao looked down. The young master was pinned beneath him, half her face buried in the pillow. Only one pink-and-blue eye showed, glaring at him in annoyance.
Over the past two months, Wang Dong had gone from refusing with all her might, to giving in reluctantly, to taking it all in stride. The speed of her transformation left Huo Yuhao feeling a little wistful.
