Shinto Battle (I)

Night fell.

In the distance, the heart of Shinto was torn apart by a blinding orange beam, as though dawn had arrived without warning.

A thunderous boom followed, shaking the ground beneath them.

It was Shinto's most prosperous commercial district. In that single instant, the area became searingly hot. Flames danced through the night, casting the surrounding buildings into shadow.

Thick smoke billowed like a roaring beast, trying to devour everything around it.

In the firelight, the pedestrians' faces were filled with terror and unease. Some screamed, some ran, and chaos erupted.

Alarms and ambulance sirens intertwined...
