A small town in a Middle Eastern city.

Because war had raged here year-round, the place was a chaotic mix of people.

Local residents, refugees, stranded foreigners from various countries, and armed personnel carrying modern weapons all patrolled the streets, maintaining so-called order.

The blazing sun hung overhead, and the air was incredibly dry. Dust swirled everywhere; without something to shield against the wind and sand, it was difficult to survive here for long.

Artillery fire and gunshots rang out endlessly in the distance, and the entire town was steeped in fear.

Still, this place was relatively safe...
