The royal palace was packed to the brim today. The largest main hall in particular was filled with officials from every level of the capital's central administration, as well as nobles of every rank.

Even the spacious main hall had long since run out of room. Lesser officials and minor nobles could only stand outside in the square before the hall, enduring the not-too-harsh sunlight beneath the sky in orderly rows.

Even the larger square could barely contain everyone, with the crowd continuing to spread outward.
