Fujimaru Ritsuka sat cross-legged inside the tent. After listening to Leon's analysis, she instinctively looked through the gap at the entrance toward the chalk-white city walls looming ahead.

In the dim night, the massive city sprawled across the wasteland like a beast lurking in the darkness, glaring hungrily at the people in the camp as though ready to devour them at any moment.

She came back to herself and looked at Leon beside her again, her heart settling somewhat.
