With Artoria's arrival yesterday, he had already anticipated this outcome.

It was all for the coming manhunt and battles against them; he simply hadn't expected it to happen so soon.

It seemed the Imperial Capital had long since planned for this.

And Mordred was leading the troops.

Given Mordred's strength, aside from Leon himself, probably none of those present could stand against him.

Leon had to act personally for there to be any chance of delaying them.
