"Lin Yuan, it's almost time."
Director Miller, the chief director of today's wedding, spoke through the earpiece.
"No problem. I'm ready. We can begin." Lin Yuan sat atop the dune, holding GAKKI-chan and Charlize Theron's hands.
Below them stood a densely packed crowd of crew members, all dressed in steampunk style. With a discarded pile of V8 chariot engines stacked into an altar and abandoned oil drums cut into seats, the entire venue had the feel of a post-apocalyptic wedding.
"What a distinctive wedding," GAKKI-chan remarked.
Charlize nodded as well. "It really is. I've never seen a wedding like this before. It's incredibly exciting."
She had attended plenty of other Hollywood superstars' weddings, such as Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's, but this was truly her first time seeing a scene like this.
Both the atmosphere and the sense of immersion were off the charts.
"All units, take your positions!" Director Miller's voice rang through the radio. "The newlyweds will arrive in five minutes."
Hearing the order, Lin Yuan adjusted his outfit.
Tonight, he too was dressed in wasteland-punk style: a battered brown horsehide tactical jacket, faded baggy jeans, and riding boots. The white bandages beneath his clothes added a touch of decadence.
"They're here!" someone suddenly shouted.
Following the direction pointed out by that crew member, they saw a curtain of sand rising behind the dunes beneath the golden sunset.
Within that wall of sand came the roar of motorcycle engines, like wounded beasts howling, wild beyond measure.
