Background

Tang San is a reincarnated disciple of the Tang Sect who retains knowledge of its martial arts, poison arts, movement techniques, and hidden weapons. Tang San enters the Soul Master Tournament expecting Shrek Academy to defeat Heaven Dou Second Team quickly. Upon discovering that Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling have joined the opposing lineup, he abandons the original plan and reorganizes Shrek's tactics. 20 22

He reveals a ten-thousand-year fourth soul ring at the start of the match, stunning the audience and opposing team. Despite this advantage, Dugu Yan's feint and the Second Team's coordination lead to three Shrek substitutes being eliminated almost immediately. 23

Tang San duels Dugu Yan, using his poison knowledge, Purple Demon Eye, and movement techniques to seek a weakness in the Thousand Spider Poison Hand. He discovers that her poison is circulated internally rather than applied externally, making it far more dangerous and difficult to counter. 24

After Dugu Yan absorbs the poison of his Eight Spider Lances, Tang San attempts to reverse the drain with his soul bone's devouring ability. Dugu Yan severs the connection at the cost of injuring herself, then eliminates Jiang Zhu. 25 26
