Tang San and his companions discovered that Li Pu had taken the Immortal Herbs from the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well and built the Hall of Heroes into a powerful force. With their herbs gone and their own prospects dim, the reborn group considered joining the Hall of Heroes to obtain replacements.

• Tang San found Xiao Wu unconscious by the roadside after leaving, and Ning Rongrong suggested that someone had knocked her out to keep her from hearing their conversation.
• Li Pu learned that Tang San had left Nuoding City and, suspecting he had been reborn, ordered Yue Guan to move most of the Immortal Herbs from the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.
