Timaria sighed. Even if she did nothing, this guy would probably die from that white dragon's venom before long. Her revenge could be considered fulfilled, at least. But then again, she did not believe August was the sort of person who would give her such a miraculous medicine to save her, only to succumb to the poison himself!
Timaria looked at Li before her and finally, slowly tossed the Void Blade in her hand onto the ground. Then she abruptly collapsed onto the floor and began to sob.
"Angel! I... I'm sorry!" Timaria cried out loudly. Seeing this, Layla vanished straight into thin air, apparently reassured that this woman, who had lost everything, would be all right.
Yet at that moment, Li suddenly moved. A burst of white light erupted from his mouth and nose, and an indescribable scent filled the air along with it. Timaria was startled by Li and immediately darted aside. He then sat up at once and put on a show as he roared, "No matter how strong you were, Index, didn't you still die by my hand?!"
Li had naturally awakened some time ago and had been sensing Timaria's every move. If she had truly intended to strike him down, then of course he would have had to resist.
At that moment, Timaria bit her lower lip with her pearly white teeth and stared at Li as if he were some strange new creature. Seeing the half-smiling expression on her face, Li immediately felt a chill rise within him.
This Timaria really had a strong desire to kill him!
"Lord August, could you tell me something... What exactly did you do just now?" Timaria no longer questioned Li as though demanding an explanation. Instead, her voice was exceedingly gentle, even carrying a hint of seduction.
