As Azshara spoke, the moon reached its zenith.

Beneath the moonlight, the ancient tree before them suddenly erupted with a cloud of white mist. The mist came and went swiftly, and as it faded... the trunk changed as well. Portions of it twisted and warped, while part of the trunk began to melt. A black dot appeared upon it.

That black dot continued to spread until it became a huge tree hollow, large enough for all three of them to enter at once.

Li strode straight toward the hollow. Under his Sharingan, everything within it was laid bare. There was no trace of magical energy inside—at least, no traps—so Li stepped directly into the hollow. Yet the instant he entered, he abruptly felt the ground vanish beneath his feet. It was vertical?

He instinctively cast a levitation spell, but it had no effect. The next moment, Li fell with a splash. Fortunately, there was a pool beneath the tree hollow. Otherwise, with Li's toughness, he would have smashed a crater into the ground. Li was rather irritated as well; he had no idea why even such a minor levitation spell had failed.

Then he sensed that something was wrong with the pool. It felt as though a tremendous force beneath it was constantly dragging him downward. Li furrowed his brow and kicked hard against the water, rising in the opposite direction. With Li's immense strength, how could some unknown suction possibly drag him to the bottom?

But as soon as Li swam to the side, his head slammed into a rock. With a bang, Li nearly cursed aloud. This pool was actually that small?

Then Li heard two more splashes.
