As Li spoke, a mass of black flames suddenly appeared in the air. His voice carried a trace of icy coldness, as though utterly devoid of emotion. How could the Gaia Giant Serpent possibly think much of such a tiny flame? It charged straight at Li without hesitation. Li's expression darkened as well. Though he could now summon the flames of Amaterasu, without any other means to enhance them, he realized that Amaterasu released through the Sharingan alone was truly somewhat inadequate.
The flames of Amaterasu did continue burning over the Gaia Giant Serpent's body, but their momentum was pitiful. They covered less than one-twentieth of its body, and even after several more moments, they likely would not burn through its defenses.
The Gaia Giant Serpent realized this as well. Although the Amaterasu flames Li had unleashed could not be extinguished for the time being, they lacked the power to truly harm it. Naturally, it began attacking without restraint.
