Li still did not know why Azshara had attacked him, but he was no easy target. He took a deep breath, raised one hand upward, and pointed the other at Azshara. The ceiling suddenly came crashing down with tremendous force. The instant it touched Li's hand, he estimated that it was connected to the structure above as a single piece. Falling like this, it weighed at least two to three million jin.
Li's face went pale in an instant. Forget Li—even the Gaia Giant Serpent would not have been able to withstand such weight. Could this thing have been prepared for the Gaia Giant Serpent as well?
But Li had no time to think about that. He pointed at Azshara, and she froze in shock as she suddenly rose into the air and flew straight into his arms. Holding Azshara, Li began retreating backward. He had already scanned the area behind him and found a safe zone. Half of the ceiling had fallen, while the other half remained intact overhead. By that logic, this room truly was a second cage prepared for the Gaia Giant Serpent.
Li rushed into the intact half of the room with Azshara, and the fallen half of the ceiling completely sealed off every route out.
Timaria was utterly dumbfounded. She had no idea what had happened. She could not understand why Azshara had suddenly triggered that mechanism, nor why Li, who clearly had a chance to escape, had dragged Azshara back into the room and sealed himself inside.
Li gently brushed the dust from his clothes and looked at the stunning woman before him. "Go on. What is your purpose?"
Azshara lowered her head, then suddenly smiled. "It seems you noticed long ago that there was something wrong with me."
