At Ankhseram's words, a flicker of astonishment crossed their faces before they strode away.
It seemed they too had important matters to attend to. Though they were supreme beings, each had a realm of their own. These powerful existences left with utter nonchalance, paying no heed to anything else as they shot straight toward the boundary of the plane.
The already shattered plane completely collapsed this time. Cracks spread ever more densely across the earth, fissures thousands of meters wide appearing everywhere. The light emanating from within was no longer the fiery red of magma—it now shone golden.
This was the plane's origin. Soon, this plane would vanish, and all evidence that they had once gathered here would disappear without a trace.
Li slowly closed his eyes. When he opened them again, a stone ceiling lay before him. This was... right, if he had returned to before entering the illusion, then he should be in that hall.
He looked around. The doors of the hall were already open, and the massive statue still stood silently in place. The hall was a complete mess, and Sakura and the others immediately noticed that Li had awakened.
"You're awake!" Sakura cried out in delight.
Li tried to sit up, only to feel half his body pinned down. Turning his head, he saw that Hinata was tightly gripping one of his hands, her head resting against his shoulder.
"Hinata stayed with you all night," Sakura said.
"I slept that long?" Li frowned. "What exactly happened?"
"That statue released a beam of light, and then you and Hinata both passed out. Hinata woke up soon after, but no one expected you to remain asleep for so long," Shikamaru said from the side. "Check your body and see whether you're really all right."
Li nodded, but
