"Returned from the underworld?" The corner of Aburame Fangxiu's mouth twitched, while everyone else had already turned pale with fear. "Stop joking, Mirai Uchiha. Your ghostly tricks are even more impressive than your reputation!"
Aburame Fangxiu strode forward. With his steps, the entire room was finally revealed before them. It was a warehouse, though it looked far larger than it appeared from outside. Ahead lay a relatively low passage, and farther in was a two-story space of roughly a hundred square meters. A faint stench of rotting grain and crops hung in the air. It seemed someone had already cleared this place out.
Aburame Fangxiu paid no attention to those Nether Butterflies. They might have looked terrifying, but their actual combat strength was exceedingly weak. Let alone him—even any Jonin here could easily handle several of them.
Mirai sneered. It seemed Aburame Fangxiu had already dismissed the two corpses on the floor. Those bodies truly were not his and Hinata's real bodies. The enemy apparently believed Mirai had merely arranged two corpses as a diversion, hoping to frighten them away.
But if they truly understood Mirai's intentions, would they still be able to laugh?
"Captain Aburame, it seems this village used to be quite prosperous. Such a large warehouse is indeed somewhat excessive for a village..." The man had not even finished speaking.
A cold laugh rang out. "Don't worry. I'll deal with you first, and then your companions." It was Mirai's voice. Aburame Fangxiu immediately spun around and charged toward the rear. They were about twenty meters from the entrance now—a distance a Jonin could cross in one or two seconds, but also one from which a Jonin could easily kill anyone!
Two people were still standing at the entrance. They had not stayed behind out of fear, but
