Fujiwara Hakkai's thoughts were simple. He would probably find it difficult to survive even a single day in this place anyway. If he followed Li now, he might just be able to hold on.
Besides, that person did not look particularly powerful. Perhaps their opponent was not some expert after all.
However, Fujiwara Hakkai quickly realized that he had been wrong. A day later, they found another grave—or rather, three graves this time. Three people had been killed and buried here. Two of them were still in a horrific state, much like the previous man. At least, they did not look like important figures. But the third person was different.
His face was clean, and there was not a single stain on his body. Even the blood from his death had left no traces on him. Someone had clearly tampered with the body.
Presumably, it was because his identity differed from the others. Even the stubble on his face had been tidied up, making him look as though he were merely asleep. He appeared to be in his twenties, no older than thirty at most. Itachi had already noticed that their appearances were slightly different from those of people in the Shinobi World. None of the people from the major shinobi villages looked like this.
They generally wore leather armor and steel armor. Such clothing was clearly unsuitable for the current weather and would hinder movement, yet they still wore it. That could only mean it was their uniform, something they wore under most circumstances.
Itachi pondered for a moment before softly saying, "Teacher, what do you think about Minato Namikaze's group?"
Li lightly shook his head, then directly lifted the man out from the ground. Itachi was stunned at first, but then understood Li's intent. This man had been
