Li pushed open the doors of the towering palace before him. At the same time, a rotten stench poured out from within. Li frowned. It seemed no one had come here in a very long time.
In the spacious main hall stood a gigantic statue. It depicted a beautiful woman with Eastern features and long, straight hair. Though it looked like a stone sculpture, the woman's appearance was exceptionally lovely, her features seductive to the extreme. One glance at her inexplicably stirred one's heartstrings. She wore something resembling a gauzy robe.
Li's heart suddenly skipped a beat. This statue really did look somewhat like what Pluton would look like after growing up.
But Li quickly let out a bitter laugh. Since Pluton had remained in this form, it meant she would never grow up. Shaking his head with a wry smile, Li strode deeper into the hall. Sure enough, behind the stone statue was a door. It was not particularly large, but a straight passage extended beyond it. The end of the passage was sealed off, while a spell array lay upon the ground.
Li understood at a glance that it was a teleportation array. He had not expected to see such an array in this world. He nodded at Gesslia, then stepped directly into it.
After emerging from the array, Li froze. They were standing in a corridor with four doors. Li silently sighed, then spread his spiritual power in every direction. Just as he had expected, this place was where the spiritual world and the real world intersected. Though it would not change freely according to Chi Mei's will, Chi Mei could at least control it to a certain degree.
"Four doors." Fujiwara Hakkai said in a low voice, "Isn't that a little too much of a coincidence?"
