"Of course." Li laughed. "Why do you think you were called the God Hand? Haven't you realized that your strength doesn't deserve the title of God Hand at all?"
A flicker of astonishment crossed Griffith's face. Surprise eclipsed the radiance of his beautiful features. He wanted to say something, but Li lightly pointed at the city before them. His gesture did not touch the city in the slightest, yet after that single motion, Griffith seemed to hear the sound of mountains collapsing and the earth splitting apart.
Falconia was crumbling. A gigantic black hole had appeared in the sky above it, continuously devouring the city below. Everything without life within the city—buildings, houses, even clothing—was pulled up toward the sky.
"What did you do?!" Griffith roared as he charged at Li.
He had lost his divinity. Li sighed. The so-called God Hand were humans who possessed divinity. With that divinity, they could better control their own power. Yet what they gained was not complete divinity, but only a trace of it. That trace was not enough to erase their human emotions—their humanity.
It merely suppressed those emotions infinitely deep within their bodies. But now that the divinity within Griffith had vanished, the humanity inside him erupted wildly!
Having been repressed for too long, that humanity had left him incapable of thinking rationally.
If the person before him had truly been Griffith in his normal state, would he have gone this mad?
Falconia was indeed the crystallization of his dream. Through this city, he had fulfilled his dream of becoming the ruler of a nation. But all of it rested on one premise: that he had plunged the entire continent into boundless darkness.
