Shi Lan paused, then looked at Li and said slowly, word by word, "Other than this legendary brother, Sheng Qi has no one else he cares about. So since you say that, it must mean Sheng Qi's mysteriously missing brother is connected to Zhao Gao's Net Trap organization."
"It is more than merely connected," Li said with absolute certainty. "Sheng Qi's brother really did fall into Net Trap's hands."
"Really?" Duanmu Rong said with some delight. "If that is true, then we may be able to use Sheng Qi for our purposes."
Li nodded. "That's right. Three years ago, I was once a guest at Zhao Gao's residence. By chance, I overheard Net Trap reporting to Zhao Gao that they had captured the man. That person also said they needed to be wary of his close brother, Sheng Qi."
"Then it must have been Sheng Qi's brother. But how will you find Sheng Qi?" Shi Lan pondered for a moment. "Sheng Qi was released by Li Si. Releasing a tiger back into the mountains... by now, even Li Si likely cannot find him."
"It is best if even Li Si cannot find him." Li gave a cryptic smile. "If Li Si knew Sheng Qi's whereabouts, how could I act in secret? Sheng Qi is my hidden piece. Naturally, he should only come into play at the very end."
"Then what is your overt move?"
"Hehe—tomorrow, I will be making a trip to the military camp. Disguise yourself as a man and come with me. You will understand then." Li thought to himself that if the little historical knowledge he possessed still held true in this world, tomorrow should bring a rather worthwhile harvest.
Shi Lan wanted to ask more, but a knock at the door interrupted her.
"Who is it?"
