Watching Mirai approach step by step with an indifferent expression, three girls following behind him, Sengoku immediately frowned. Just what was this guy capable of? Facing several thousand Marines and a Marine Admiral like himself, he remained so composed—and he even had to protect three young girls with little combat ability. Wasn't this far too disrespectful toward them?

At once, the thousands of Marines behind him sprang into action. Those wielding long blades charged toward Mirai in dense numbers, their sword tips flashing with cold light.

"You three stay here and don't move!" Mirai gave a soft snort. After warning Boa Hancock and the other two, he flashed forward, removed the Gunbai from his waist, and charged into the enemy ranks. The nearest Marines had no time to react before their throats were slit by the sickle. Clutching their necks, they died in terror. Though most of Mirai's strength lay in his Dojutsu, his taijutsu was nothing to underestimate either. These Marines had received little more than training and were merely somewhat stronger than ordinary people. How could they withstand Mirai's charge? With every swing of his blade, another Marine lost his life.
