With the hostage taken from him, Colido had lost his last shred of hope. He began laughing hysterically, then took two steps back, snatched a weapon from a pirate behind him, and charged madly at Mirai.
"Brothers, we're dead either way, so charge! Even if all we do is cut their clothes, don't let them have it easy!" Colido roared as he ran. At once, all the pirates were swept up in the mood. Thinking of how they had spent the past half month being hunted like stray dogs and had nearly starved to death, they were all fired up, howling as they charged at Mirai.
"This is bad—Vivi is still in that boy's hands! All soldiers, hear my command! Capture all these pirates at once, dead or alive!" Seeing over a thousand pirates surge toward Mirai, Cobra was instantly alarmed. Vivi was still in Mirai's hands. If a fight broke out and his precious daughter was accidentally hurt, what then?
But just then, a strange force spread outward. A terrifying pressure descended like a god coming to earth, making everyone's hearts tremble. Before Cobra's disbelieving eyes, every pirate collapsed to the ground with terror written across their faces, utterly unable to resist. Mirai stood calmly ahead, still holding the equally astonished little Vivi in his arms. The scarlet in his pupils had faded, returning them to black.
"This is... Conqueror's Haki? A power possessed by only one in a million people. I never thought this young man would have it. Who exactly is he?" Cobra swallowed nervously. As a king—and a descendant of one of the twenty kings who had founded the World Government—Cobra naturally knew far more than most. He had also heard of the three types of Haki.
