Uchiha Fugaku watched from the side, green with envy. Mikoto gazed at Li with admiration. If Uchiha Hao hadn't been there, she would have cheered aloud. Even so, her face was flushed, which made Uchiha Fuqiu feel a pang of heartache.

"Good! Good! Now that's a fine son of the Uchiha Clan!" Uchiha Hao looked at Li with a beaming smile, praising him twice in a row. One could imagine how excited the clan head was. Ever since Madara Uchiha had vanished, the Uchiha Clan had been slowly declining. Even if the clan members hadn't noticed and were still proud of their name, Uchiha Hao could see the clan's decline clearly. The categories for Hokage, Bleach, and the rest represented abilities, weapons, and items from different worlds. Once he understood the principle, he tapped the Hokage box. The list rippled, and all the boxes vanished before a new list appeared.

Kekkei Genkai, Ninjutsu, weapons, supplies! Tailed Beasts!

There were five boxes in all, grouping together every item from the Naruto World. Without hesitation, Li skipped Ninjutsu, weapons, supplies, and Tailed Beasts, and opened the Kekkei Genkai category. A series of Kekkei Genkai from Naruto appeared on the panel. The Rinnegan was at the top, followed by the Eternal Mangekyo and Sage Body. They were listed from most powerful to least.

"Rinnegan: the eyes of the Sage of Six Paths, with the power to create and destroy worlds. Cost: 10,000,000 points! (Note: Before exchanging for this Kekkei Genkai, the Host must possess the Eternal Mangekyo and Sage Body. Otherwise, the exchange is unavailable!)"

"Eternal Mangekyo: grants eternal light and allows the unrestricted use of powerful Dojutsu. Cost: 1,000,000 points! (Note: Before exchanging for this Kekkei Genkai, the Host must possess the Mangekyo Sharingan. Otherwise, the exchange is unavailable!)"

"Sage Body: allows the Host to recover quickly from injuries and grants him a vast amount of chakra. Cost: 1,500,000 points! (Note: This item has no prerequisites, so its price is correspondingly higher!)"

After looking through the Kekkei Genkai, Li saw that only the ordinary ones had no prerequisites. The Sharingan-related Kekkei Genkai all had them. To exchange for the Two-Tomoe Sharingan, for example, he first needed the One-Tomoe Sharingan. That gave Li a headache. The system had really closed off the path to instant power.

After completing a mission, Li had a hundred points. He checked the price of the One-Tomoe Sharingan, and it was exactly a hundred points. But he wasn't happy at all. The Sharingan's exchange prices increased tenfold at each stage: a hundred for the One-Tomoe, a thousand for the Two-Tomoe, ten thousand for the Three-Tomoe, and a hundred thousand for the Mangekyo Sharingan. There was no need to go on; each successive stage cost ten times as much.

"System, exchange for the One-Tomoe Sharingan!"

He could wait for his eyes to awaken naturally, but Li decided to exchange for it instead. Not everyone could awaken the Sharingan. The Uchiha Clan had hundreds of members, yet fewer than half had awakened it, and only a little over twenty possessed the Three-Tomoe Sharingan. Those odds were terrifying. Li didn't know whether he could awaken the Sharingan on his own, so it was better to exchange for it directly. After all, everything needed time to get used to, and the Sharingan was no different. The sooner he awakened it, the sooner he could master it.

"Following the Host's command. Deducting one hundred points. Activating the One-Tomoe Sharingan!"

As the system finished speaking, the box for the One-Tomoe Sharingan dropped a ball of white light. It entered Li's body through his chest, and the box dimmed to show that he had completed the exchange.

The moment the light entered his body, Li felt his heart clench. It nearly stopped beating. Then two strange currents of energy seemed to travel through a pair of channels inside him and flow toward his eyes. Before he could think any further, a sudden ache swelled inside his head, and pain stabbed through his eyes. Li squeezed them shut and clutched his temples, trying to ease the pressure.

After a while, the pain faded. Li knew the Sharingan had awakened. He slowly opened his eyes. His black irises had turned crimson, and a single Tomoe rested at the upper-left of each pupil.

After exchanging for the Sharingan, Li quickly left the System Space and found a mirror in his room. He admired his new eyes, a smile tugging at his lips as he looked at the beautiful Tomoe. When all was said and done, this was what would let him survive in this world.

"So this is the Sharingan? It really is something!" Li lowered the mirror and looked out the window. Even the small birds far in the distance were clear to him; he could see the path of their beating wings. Li smiled sincerely. With the Sharingan, he finally had what it took to pursue the path of the strong.

Knock! Knock!

"Brother Li, Uncle Hao's called you over for dinner!"

A knock sounded at the door, followed by Mikoto's voice from outside. At the sound of it, Li's Sharingan vanished, his eyes returning to black. He opened the door and went to eat with Mikoto. All the way there, she chattered excitedly, holding his hand and asking about the secrets of training in the Great Fireball Technique.
