"Nothing to scoff at? At most, you're D-rank, right?" The warrior leader was taken aback. Looking at the two before him, Li, currently using August's body, honestly did not look like much of a threat. August looked like the sort of person anyone could push around, while Invel wore an amiable expression. No matter how he looked at them, they were only seventeen or eighteen.
At that age, among the mountain folk, they had only just reached adulthood.
Li sneered. "You think D-rank is impressive? Your vision is awfully narrow-minded."
Hearing Li say that, the warrior leader could not help sizing him up. "Hmm... could you be C-rank already? Reaching C-rank at such a young age would indeed be quite remarkable!"
"Sorry, you guessed wrong again." Li slowly shook his head, looking somewhat regretful.
The warrior leader's expression changed. "Could you be B-rank? You should know that even our team is only made up of B-rank mercenaries!"
Li glanced at the warrior leader. Reaching B-rank in the mercenary world through physical strength alone was indeed impressive. But once one reached that level, they could easily guard a small city and live out their days in comfort. Why come take part in such a dangerous mission?
Could it be true that mountain folk had small brains? If they loved adventure so much, why not just jump off a cliff?
Of course, Li would not say something like that. Instead, he shook his head and said, "B-rank? Sorry, we've never even come into contact with that level."
"You little brat, don't tell me you're A-rank!!" The warrior
