After the first one appeared, a second corpse burst out of the ground even faster...
Then came another...
In the blink of an eye, dozens of corpses wildly surged from underground. Yet the moment they touched the holy light, they turned to ash. These were the cave's true guardians.
They had been lying hidden beneath the ground, waiting for someone to deal with the giant tiger above and the resurrected soldiers. Once their targets let down their guard, they would emerge... and deal the adventurers a fatal blow.
The group had simply been lucky this time. Only one person had died. If everyone had just walked to the center, who knew how many would have been killed?

Even if they completed the mission and returned, his superior likely would not show him a pleasant face.
After a while, no more corpses leaped from beneath the ground under the holy light. Uther and Arthas stopped casting their magic. The two exchanged glances, both wary. No one knew where so many corpses had come from, and the once perfectly flat ground now looked like a freshly plowed field.
But since they had already passed the first trial, turning back now would naturally be out of the question.
The group could only continue onward. As for what lay ahead,
