Though Heaven-Shattering Earthquake had an impressive name, it was really just a massive amount of earth-element stones being summoned and dropped down to smash the bastard. At first, the stones were only fist-sized. Against a stitched monster with such a huge body, no matter how densely they fell, it was like sand blowing into its face.
But later, things changed. The stones grew larger and larger, until some were over a meter in diameter. Then came stones mixed with other attributes, such as fire-infused meteors that fell like a meteor shower.
By then, how could the stitched monster endure any longer? It let out a roar and prepared to roll over, ready to fight Li to the death. But Li suddenly bit his finger and drew a circle in midair. A golden arc appeared around the stitched monster's body...
The stitched monster's eyes widened. "Casting two eighth-tier spells in succession? Are you trying to kill yourself, brat?"
Though it roared those words while taking a beating, its voice remained immensely loud. It clearly had not suffered any fundamental injury. Yet Li breathed a sigh of relief instead. He had never intended to get through this by relying on August's body. Since so many things had already happened, only the few smarter members of this mercenary party would be able to survive what came next...
Antonio had originally been doomed to die. Li had planned to let him perish at the final checkpoint, but he had not expected Antonio to sacrifice himself during the Elemental Crystal Spirit trial.
