The moment the villagers heard Jess's words, they erupted into chaos. In truth, they simply could not believe what Jess had said. Li smiled faintly. "Then how much did you tell the mayor?"
Jess raised his head and fearfully glanced at Malfurion. Malfurion's face was pale. Even an idiot would know that he had been thoroughly set up. Jess had rushed back before dawn today, and as soon as he returned, he told Malfurion about how Malfurion's son had been bullied in Peter's Castle, as well as Li's demand for taxes.
But judging by Jess's current behavior, he had clearly colluded with Li beforehand.
