Only after he had shrunk countless times did he suddenly realize that what he had just considered hills had become impassable mountain ranges. As for the peaks in the distance, that went without saying.
How vast was this world? Malfurion did not think about such things, because he had actually seen living creatures here—many, many living creatures. They did not look like humans. They had long pointed ears, tall slender figures, and fair skin. Malfurion moved his lips. "Elves?"
That was right. These creatures were all elves, and they were High Elves—the High Elves that had already gone extinct in the world where he lived.
"Surprised, aren't you?" Li said slowly. "When your spiritual power reaches my level, you'll be able to create worlds like this as well."
"Create worlds?" Malfurion opened his mouth, as if he could not believe Li would say something like that. How arrogant did one have to be to speak of creating worlds? Yet Li did not seem to be joking. He glanced at the sky. "All right, let's go see your son."
Hearing Li say that, Malfurion followed closely behind him. Standing here now, with his current proportions, he abruptly realized that this place was not black at all. The earth brimmed with boundless vitality, and the sky was a deep, clear blue.
It was as though the pitch-black darkness from before had only been an illusion.
