Hearing Michelangelo say this, Li was slightly taken aback. He had indeed heard the term "the abyss of magic" within Fairy Tail. It was a term spoken of by Fairy Tail's Second Master, who had become Hades, the master of the dark guild Grimoire Heart, because of it.
In terms of strength alone, Hades was extremely powerful. At the very least, he would rank fairly high even among the Ten Wizard Saints. Since he had fallen for this so-called abyss of magic, it presumably had some substance to it.
Yet Li had never seen any records concerning the so-called abyss of magic in the books within Ankhseram Temple. Could it really have been nothing more than Hades's delusion? That was what Li had thought at the time. But now Michelangelo had brought up the term again. Though Li dearly wanted to know more, he could hardly rush over, pin the man against a wall, and force the answer out of him, could he?
