Tatsu: Overlap your thumbs, with your left thumb on top.
Tora: Extend both thumbs.

There were twelve basic hand signs in all. By combining them in different ways, a ninja could guide the flow of Chakra and form Ninjutsu of varying strength.
The most complicated hand signs were used for sealing techniques.
Thinking of all this, Gong Yi suddenly understood.
"Sensei, you mean that using a certain Ninjutsu often gradually changes your fingers. They get thicker! Bigger! Stronger! If they stay bent for too long, they'll start to curl up without you realizing it. Or... if you combine that with the flow of Chakra, you can reproduce the corresponding Ninjutsu?"
"I told you not to call me Sensei. Call me big sister!"
"Oh, Sensei!"
Tsunade glared at Gong Yi in irritation. How many times had she corrected him? He still called her Sensei every day, making her feel old.
Setting that aside, Tsunade first praised Gong Yi.
"You're right! But..."
"Recreating a Ninjutsu isn't that simple. That's far too crude a method."
Tsunade gave a soft snort. "To recreate a Ninjutsu, you have to start with the reports of what our ninjas saw and heard. Then you look up information on the technique to work out the general steps for performing it. On top of that, you might even need to assign specialists to train and practice it, while medical ninjas keep watch. If anything goes wrong, they have to treat them immediately."
Gong Yi clicked his tongue. That process was way too complicated!
"Sounds like a lot of trouble, doesn't it?"
Tsunade sighed, then suddenly said, "But no matter how much trouble
