"Minato, do you eat sushi? I can share half with you!"
"Minato, let's go eat ramen tonight! A new ramen shop just opened in the village, called Ichiraku Ramen. I tried it while you were on a mission. It was so, so delicious!"
Minato Namikaze watched the lively girl before him with a beaming smile, letting her chatter on like a little songbird.
Maybe to other people, Kushina was too lively and restless, not at all ladylike. Even her red hair seemed strange and glaring.
But to Minato, ever since he'd stepped into the Ninja Academy, the beautiful red-haired girl had captivated him.
"Ichiraku Ramen? Sure, let's give it a try! But you shouldn't eat too much now, or you won't have room later."
Minato said gently, hiding the boxes of sushi and fish balls he was holding for Kushina behind his back.
Kushina darted around behind him, grabbed a piece of sushi, tossed it into the air, and caught it in her mouth.
She looked at Minato smugly, as if to say, "Pretty impressive, huh?"
"Don't worry! I can finish these two boxes and still eat two bowls of ramen later! And I won't even gain weight!"
"All right, all right! Whatever you say."
As he strolled through the village, surrounded by residents out enjoying a leisurely day, with the girl he liked by his side, Minato felt that life was wonderful when he wasn't on a mission.
The village was wonderful too. He loved this kind of life!
