Existing in the Past

Chen Mu pondered as he recalled the earlier scenes, while continuing to cast his gaze toward the Void Current River ahead.

Extending his sight farther and farther into the distance, all he could see were nearly endless vortices, blooming and vanishing one after another. Some were deep, some shallow; some large, some small. Each was different from the next.

Suddenly,

Chen Mu narrowed his eyes and looked toward one of the Void vortices.

The Void within that vortex twisted, and a peculiar golden substance suddenly flew out. This golden material was exceedingly strange, gleaming with a molten-gold luster. As it passed through the chaotic, distorted Void Power, not only was it unaffected by that power, it even drew the Void Power along, causing it to shift and flow in waves.

"Void Refined Metal?"

Chen Mu recognized the origin of this rare object at once.

Void Refined Metal was one of the rare treasures of the Void Lineage. It possessed an extremely high affinity with Void Power and was immensely valuable. It was one of the primary materials used to forge Upper Divine Weapons of the Void Lineage. Even to Chen Mu, it was worth making a move for.

Yet as Chen Mu watched that piece of Void Refined Metal tumble through the Void Current River, his brows knitted slightly, and he made no attempt to retrieve it.

The Void vortex that had spewed out the Void Refined Metal lay in an extremely deep region of the Void Current River. It was utterly impossible to fish it out from the shore; he had to go down in person. Yet that area was surrounded by numerous deep vortices. If he entered, he risked being swept away by a Void vortex and teleported in an instant to some unknown and perilous place.
