Breakfast

Uzumaki Chenhao lay in his bed, thinking for dozens of minutes before slowly falling asleep.

It had to be said that Uzumaki Chenhao was truly a little tired now. These past few days, he had been busy training and had not slept properly for a long time. Still, he was fairly happy now. At the very least, he had eaten dinner with his parents today.

Late at night, Konoha was still very quiet. At this hour, many people had returned home to rest. Many ninjas coming back from work would go to a small tavern in groups of two or three for a drink. After a whole day of work, they were exhausted too. Being able to drink, laugh, and chat together at night made them quite happy.

No matter when it was, Konoha was a very pleasant place. Everyone had their own life, their own happy moments, and their own troubles. But when they chatted and ate with family and friends, they would put those worries aside.

And so, the night quickly passed.

Early the next morning, Uzumaki Chenhao got up early. At that time, he realized that his uncle and aunt had not gotten up yet.

I wonder what happened. If Aunt Kushina weren't pregnant, things would be different now. They're still not up so late; something indescribable must have happened last night. After all, my mental age is in my twenties or thirties!

There's nothing to do after getting up this early. I might as well make breakfast. Once the two of them get up, they can eat and head straight to the hospital!

Uzumaki Chenhao was the sort of person who acted as soon as he made up his mind. Without waiting even a minute, he went straight into the kitchen, looked over the remaining ingredients, and got busy.

Uzumaki Chenhao had lived alone before, so he could handle something as simple as cooking.

Soon, the sound of a knife striking a cutting board rang out from the kitchen.

Mornings in Konoha were a beautiful sight. Birds chirped in the trees, sunlight shone over every corner of the village, and everything was truly quiet.

At this hour, very few people in Konoha were awake. Most of them were elderly people who had kept the habit for decades, getting up at this time every morning to take a walk outside or buy some breakfast.

Second by second, time passed. Before long, Uzumaki Chenhao had finished making breakfast. It was fairly simple today: some rice porridge and a few side dishes.

It had to be said that Uzumaki Chenhao's cooking was quite good. He brought the fragrant food out into the kitchen, then went over to the sofa and sat down.

"Right, I know what I'll do after going to the hospital today. I haven't seen Chun Muzi for several days. I wonder what she's been busy with lately. If I have time later, I'll go find her and hang out. I haven't seen her in days, so I do miss her a little!" Uzumaki Chenhao said softly with a smile as he sat on the sofa.

Chun Muzi was Uzumaki Chenhao's childhood friend in Konoha. It had to be said that this little girl had always treated Uzumaki Chenhao very well. Whenever Uzumaki Chenhao was bullied in the past, she was always the first to rush over and comfort him. She had never distanced herself from him just because he was comparatively weak.
