Background / History
Tang San originated from the Douluo Continent and later ascended to the God Realm. He inherited the Asura God's position while also possessing the Sea God's position, becoming a dual-god possessor. He subsequently built considerable influence and a stable power base in the God Realm. 151
Ten thousand years after his ascension, Tang San continued to treat the Douluo Continent as the foundation of his influence. He arranged for his daughter Tang Wutong, under the identity of Wang Dong, to approach Huo Yuhao and form a deep bond with him. 153 180
Appearance
Tang San appears as a handsome young man with soft blue hair. Despite his youthful appearance, his bearing is described as detached, ancient, and inherently superior, particularly when confronting mortals. 166 177
- Long, soft blue hair. 166 177
- Deep eyes that occasionally reveal age and majesty. 179
- Usually maintains a calm, composed expression. 166 174
- Conceals his aura and presents himself as an ordinary Soul Master while infiltrating Shrek Academy. 179 180
Personality
Tang San is calculating, controlling, and deeply invested in maintaining his influence over the Douluo Continent. Zichuan's disruption of Shrek Academy's fortunes and Huo Yuhao's planned path provokes an unusually intense reaction from him; he considers uncontrolled variables a threat to his foundation in both the lower realm and the God Realm. 153 157
He often restrains himself when strategy demands it. Although humiliated by Du Busi and enraged by the Body Sect's resistance, he withdraws rather than expend the single full-strength divine strike he has reserved for Zichuan. 173 177
Tang San can also be nostalgic and cautious. On returning to Shrek Academy after ten thousand years, he quietly observes its changed grounds and neglected statues rather than reveal himself, recognizing that its present leadership may not be trustworthy. 179 180
Abilities & Skills
Dual Divine Authority
Tang San holds the divine positions of both the Asura God and the Sea God, making him a God King and a dual-god possessor. 151
- His Divine Sense overwhelms weaker Body Sect students and teachers, causing some to collapse under its pressure. 166
- Du Busi judges him to be far more dangerous than a Level 99 Limit Douluo despite Tang San not displaying obvious Soul Power fluctuations. 166
- Tang San possesses a God Rank attack capable of defeating Du Busi, though he does not use it during their confrontation. 173
Divine Divination
Tang San can observe the Douluo Continent and investigate changes in fate through divine artifacts and divine power. 152 153
- Uses a crystal orb to observe Shrek Academy's declining fortune, the Body Sect's rise, and Huo Yuhao's altered destiny. 152 153
- Uses an ancient astrolabe to trace the source of the changes affecting the continent. 153
- His investigation identifies Zichuan as the central variable, but causes a backlash that makes Tang San bleed golden divine blood. 153
- Detects the distinct source auras of the God King of Destruction and Goddess of Life within Zichuan. 155
Concealment and Avatar Descent
Tang San descends to the lower realm through an avatar formed from half of his divine soul, keeping his actions hidden from the other God Kings. 163 177
- Can suppress his aura and disguise himself as an ordinary Soul Master. 179 180
- His avatar can wield only roughly twenty to thirty percent of his true body's strength. 163
- He has only one opportunity to unleash his full God Rank power before causing heavenly disturbances and exposing his unauthorized descent. 173 177

Story Role / Major Arcs
Discovery of Zichuan
Tang San notices that Shrek Academy's fortune is declining while the Body Sect is rapidly rising. His investigation reveals that Huo Yuhao has departed from the future Tang San planned for him, and identifies Zichuan as the cause of these cascading changes. 152 153
After discovering the intertwined destruction and life auras within Zichuan, Tang San suspects the involvement of the God King of Destruction. He questions the God King directly and has Xiao Wu investigate the Goddess of Life, but neither provides confirmation. 155 156 157
Descent to the Lower Realm
Determined to restore control over the Douluo Continent, Tang San secretly descends with Xiao Wu. He reunites with Da Ming and Er Ming at the Clear Sky Sect, then travels with them to investigate the Body Sect. 157 161 163
Tang San initially offers Du Busi an unspecified “opportunity” for Zichuan, but Du Busi refuses to reveal Zichuan's location. When Du Busi activates Golden Awakening and approaches the Demigod realm, Tang San orders a retreat rather than risk exposing his descent or wasting his decisive divine attack. 167 173 177
Covert Return to Shrek Academy
Following the failed Body Sect confrontation, Tang San chooses to search independently. He enters Shrek Academy in disguise with Xiao Wu, Da Ming, and Er Ming, intending to assess its condition and investigate Tang Wutong and Huo Yuhao without alerting the academy's leadership. 177 179
At the academy, Tang San discovers that Tang Wutong has abandoned the male Wang Dong disguise he arranged and is openly interacting with Huo Yuhao as herself, further suggesting that his plans are no longer proceeding as intended. 180
