Background / History

Destruction is the God King who governs the end of all things. His authority represents destruction and return to nothingness, one of the two fundamental poles of existence alongside Life. A remnant of his consciousness survived space-time turbulence and entered Zichuan's Sea of Consciousness after sensing the boy's simultaneous Heart of Destruction and Heart of Life. 2

The remnant identifies Zichuan as the child born from the convergence of his divine power and that of the Goddess of Life. Viewing Zichuan as the ideal inheritor of both divine positions, he resolves to prepare the boy to oppose Tang San, whom he considers an enemy and a manipulator of Douluo Continent's destiny. 2

He grants Zichuan the Mark of Destruction and initiates the Nine Trials of Destruction. Rather than enforcing the trial system conventionally, he alters Zichuan's first trial after it is completed through the defeat of ants, awarding the Destruction Domain. 3 4

Throughout Zichuan's growth, Destruction acts as an adviser, selecting compatible Soul Beasts, directing him toward the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and arranging sacrifices from powerful plant Soul Beasts. He also supports Zichuan's plan to redirect Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's sacrifice and accepts part of the Silkworm's power to preserve his own fading consciousness. 7 18 41 46

When Zichuan faces the Evil Eye Tyrant Sovereign, Destruction manifests outside the Sea of Consciousness and pressures the Soul Beast into aiding Zichuan's Soul Core formation. During the final stabilization of the Yin-Yang Complementary Dual Soul Cores, the remnant exhausts itself to prevent their collapse, leaving Zichuan without his longtime guide. 95 96 99

The true God King of Destruction in the God Realm initially denies any knowledge of Zichuan. After he and the Goddess of Life investigate their shared dreams and unexplained connection to the lower realm, they discover that both possess an inheritor and Godly Trials they do not remember establishing. 156 159 160

The remnant consciousness normally has no physical body, residing as a dark-purple figure within Zichuan's Sea of Consciousness. When manifesting externally, the God King appears as a majestic man around thirty years old. 95 99
