As a death knight who had broken free of the Lich King's control through his own strength, Thassarian's words carried considerable weight. Moreover, he had made his bottom line clear: death knights would not become the fighting force of either the Alliance or the Horde, while both sides would retain some degree of oversight over them. Thus, everyone tacitly accepted his proposal.

Although they had privately accepted that the death knights would be managed by Thassarian, Koltira, and Darion, the formalities still had to be observed. Tirion convened another strategic council meeting to address the death knight issue, with Thassarian, Koltira, and Darion attending as the principal parties involved.

Since neither the Alliance nor the Horde wanted the death knights to become the other faction's military strength, Zul'ra Jin and Bolvar both chose to acquiesce. After going around in circles, the death knights' ultimate fate was placed in the hands of Thassarian, Koltira, and Darion.

All death knights who had escaped the Scourge would become members of the Knights of the Ebon Blade. They would swear loyalty to the world, safeguard its security and peace, and refrain from participating in conflicts among the mortal races, thereby securing a place for themselves in the world.

"Lord Bolvar, has His Majesty Varian made a decision regarding the strategic shift against the Scourge?" After the issue of the death knights' affiliation had been settled, Zul'ra Jin directly posed his question to Bolvar.

"In principle, His Majesty Varian has no objection to waging a prolonged war against the Scourge until it is completely destroyed. However, we still hope that the Horde can cede some land to make it easier for us to relocate people there for production. After all, the Horde has very few people!" Bolvar replied in a thoroughly serious manner.
