Don't Think Too Highly of Yourself

A vote was decided upon—a method that appeared fair, but was actually the most unfair of all. Circumstances would lead most people to make the same choice, while dissenters who were refuted had not voluntarily withdrawn their opinions.

Brann's opinion became the dissenting one. After gaining the support of most people, Zul'ra went before the head of Mimiron, the King of Creation, and began negotiations with him.

Unlike Thorim, with his metal body, Hodir, with his icy blue body, and Freya, whose mithril body was draped in stone, Mimiron was a mechanical Gnome who was small by the standards of the Keepers but enormous compared to mortals. Now, only his head remained. With his exaggerated beard and eyebrows, he referred to Zul'ra as a "flesh-and-blood mortal."

Before the raid entered Ulduar, Mimiron had concealed himself in a machine chamber within it. The raid had not dared touch him, and events later proved that leaving the King of Creation alone had been the right choice. The fellow was armed from head to toe with steel weapons.

In the end, the raid lured the three Keepers—Thorim, Hodir, and Freya—toward Scourge undead and used them to awaken the Keepers. Only then did those three awaken Mimiron. Even so, the three Keepers had suffered considerable losses.

The negotiations with Mimiron went exceptionally well. Zul'ra made only one request, without even needing to explain much, and the King of Creation agreed to open up part of the Titans' technology. This greatly astonished Sylvanas, Jaina, Tessara, Valdarin, and the others present, while Brann was both dejected and doubtful.

"How can you do this?" Brann questioned Mimiron's decision to open weapons to mortals, while also wondering whether he had underestimated mortals.

"Do you know why the King of Creation agreed to us so readily?" Zul'ra asked with
