After Chromie understood from Zul'ra what political vetting was, she quickly left to report the matter to the Dragon Aspects. Old Gods were wicked things; anything connected to them had to be treated with caution.
After Chromie left, Zul'ra, with nothing better to do, went around Wyrmrest Temple greeting and chatting with the various fellows there.
The people in Wyrmrest Temple were not from the same time and space as Zul'ra. Of course, most people—even the dragons—did not know that, and neither did they themselves. They simply thought they had been hired for a job. The previous attack on Wyrmrest Temple by the Twilight Forces had badly frightened several Dragon Aspects.
When Zul'ra chatted with the fellows in the temple, he mostly asked about matters related to their timelines. For example: who was the Warchief in their world? Did the Alliance have a High King?
The answers were all a complete mess. For instance, there was Warchief Vol'jin, who wore a necklace of enemy ears and was incomparably savage; then there was High King Blackmoore, who ruthlessly oppressed the people without restraint.
Though everyone discovered that their circumstances differed from one another's, none of them cared much. Zul'ra also noticed that many of them resembled Rexxar and Broxigar: either solitary people who stayed far from society, or lonely souls seeking death. In short, they were all people detached from society or overlooked by others.
Though each was different, they all had one thing in common: the people summoned were capable. Only those who met both conditions—being isolated and highly skilled in combat—could possibly be called upon. They were all adventurers who paid little attention to the world around them, hoping only to find some comfort for their souls through the process or outcome of battle.
