After Shiro left the hospital, he headed straight for the research department. At the same time, at Minato's house, Keiko was sitting together with Kushina.
Keiko picked up the tea on the table and took a sip. They had chatted enough about everyday matters; it was time to talk business.
"Well, Kushina, could I trouble Minato with something? Of course, if it would delay official work, then forget it." Keiko was still fairly cautious about this and did not box her in by making it sound like it absolutely had to be done. That would have been too rude.
But to Kushina, Shiro was like a younger brother, and Keiko often kept her company while Minato was away on missions. In her heart, Keiko was like a mother to her, so naturally she would not refuse this sort of request from her.
She immediately smiled and replied, "Mother Keiko, just tell me what it is. Minato and I will definitely do our best to help you. Is someone bothering you again?"
"Oh, no, it's nothing. It's just, look, Shiro isn't that young anymore, and he's still alone. And, well, I happened to hear that his department is recruiting a secretary, isn't it? So I was thinking, could we find him a pretty one and use this chance. Mm!"
Kushina froze for a moment, then laughed, though she did not laugh too hard. After all, Keiko was her elder.
"Don't worry, Mother Keiko. Minato and I have been keeping Shiro's matter in mind too. I've already reminded Minato, and he'll try to arrange something for Shiro as much as possible. But in the end, it mainly depends on what Shiro wants.
"No matter how hard we try on this side, if he doesn't make a move, there's nothing we can do."
