Orochimaru and Shiro exchanged a glance as they looked at what Fugaku held in his hand. Each saw the shock in the other's eyes. They knew Fugaku had made a great resolution over this matter, but they had not expected it to go this far!

His own Mangekyo Sharingan was one thing. Though that was precious too, they had understood the moment they saw Fugaku that his eyes had been newly replaced.

But weren't the other things a bit much?

What the two of them had originally thought was that they would make the matter sound a little more serious and see if they could swindle a few more Sharingan out of Fugaku, which would make their research easier.

But who would have known Fugaku would be this ruthless! He had even brought out the corpses, and so completely!

If he had only taken the Sharingan, then even if the clan elders found out, at most they would scold him and that would be the end of it. After all, the current Fugaku had awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan and was firmly the Uchiha's number one expert, an expert who could beat the entire elder council while hanging them out to dry.

But what he gave them were corpses.

Then this was no longer a matter of scolding. Even if they could not beat him, they would risk their old lives to make trouble for Fugaku! It might even be that the entire Uchiha would turn against him! Just like Madara back then!

In this world with supernatural powers, strength could solve most things, but there were still some things it could not solve, such as ideology.

Most importantly, for Shiro and Orochimaru, who were taking on this project, things had become a little tricky—especially for Shiro. Fugaku had paid
